How outside rankings are handled
Link-only source: BLWE may link to a public ranking for research and attribution, but it is not pulled into the BLWE score.
Public factual results: verified schedules and scores may support the BLWE game model when BLWE can lawfully use those factual records and documents the source.
Authorized ranking data: a ranking signal can enter the external-consensus component only when BLWE has permission, a license/API, or an internal source. Each source is normalized to a 0-100 percentile before weighting.
Missing evidence: the model does not invent a value. Unavailable optional components are removed and the remaining available weights are normalized. Equal component values receive equal percentile credit rather than arbitrary tie-breaking.
Verified first
A team needs verified game records or sufficient authorized ranking evidence before entering the board.
Weekly snapshots
Each published week is frozen as its own snapshot so movement and historical ranking changes remain auditable.
No pay-to-rank
