BLWE publishes its own football prospect evaluations. The system is designed to separate verified scouting work from popularity, paid placement and copied third-party stars. Equal scores receive equal ranking credit, missing categories are never invented, and a profile can remain unranked until the evidence is strong enough.

Publication gate
Current-method rankings require at least 2 verified evidence items, at least 4 graded components, and at least one football-evaluation component such as film, position skill, technique or football IQ.
Missing data
If an optional graded category is unavailable, BLWE removes that factor and normalizes the remaining available weights. The engine does not fill missing categories with fake averages or assumed scores.
Cohort ranks
Published athletes receive overall, graduation-class, position, state and state-position ranks. Equal composite scores receive the same rank. Movement is measured against the athlete's previous approved BLWE rank.

Scouting & Recruiting Ranking
Answers: “How does the complete evaluated football prospect compare inside the current BLWE evidence pool?” It uses the weighted scouting factors above.
Verified Performance Ranking
Answers: “How do the athlete's verified combine-style metrics compare?” It uses tie-aware percentiles from comparable verified 40, shuttle, vertical, broad jump and bench data. It is not a recruiting projection.

Discovery Prospect Gate
A public-source discovery profile is not automatically a BLWE-ranked athlete. Discovery records can document public school, position, measurement and film facts while the athlete remains unranked. To move a discovery prospect into a Verified or Published BLWE prospect ranking, the current prospect method requires at least 3 evidence items, including at least 1 BLWE-controlled evidence item, at least 4 graded components, and football-evaluation evidence. BLWE-controlled evidence can include a BLWE film review, verified BLWE testing, or a direct BLWE staff evaluation.
Public rankings, star ratings, subscriber scouting text and third-party proprietary grades are not imported into the BLWE score. Public facts can support identity and context, but BLWE must perform its own evaluation before publishing a BLWE ranking.

How BLWE Creates a Film Grade
BLWE does not type a single subjective Film score into the ranking record. The evaluator completes a six-trait scorecard matched to the athlete's position group. Quarterbacks are reviewed on quarterback traits; offensive linemen on offensive-line traits; defensive backs on coverage and defensive-back traits, and so on. The Film grade is the arithmetic average of the six completed trait scores.
Complete rubric
All six position traits must receive a 0–100 score. Blank traits do not become zeroes and an incomplete rubric cannot qualify as a completed BLWE film review.
Traceable review
A completed film review requires an attached public film source, an identified BLWE reviewer and substantive original BLWE review notes.
Server recompute
When rankings rebuild, the server recalculates the Film grade from the stored trait scores and independently recomputes evidence eligibility instead of trusting typed counters or a manual Film number.
Evaluation saves, film-review completion, evidence changes, ranking-status changes and ranking rebuilds are recorded in an internal audit trail. This protects the distinction between public discovery information and BLWE's own evaluation work.
